What follows is material that has been taken from the 1706 Manuscript of the Conduct of the Christian Schools. Throughout the text, note has been made each time there is a significant variation between the two manuscripts of 1720 and 1706. Therefore, what is provided here can help one better understand the evolution of the text as it was revised over the years by De La Salle and his first disciples.
